Need a mid-week break? Help some kids who could use a break! Brian Shipman and other Drury employees are taking about a dozen kids down the James River. These kids face a lot of tough economic challenges and this trip is the best part of their summer. We need experienced paddlers to shepherd these kids down the river. Three square meals provided for the kids and volunteers. Meet at Boyd Elementary School (1409 Washington) at 7:30am and then head to Shoney’s buffet. Or meet at the Missouri Department of Conservation H.L. Kerr access at 10:30 to 11am. Float will be from H.L. Kerr to Galena Y Bridge (5 miles). Bring your tandem boat if you can. Brian can get you a boat if needed. Please RSVP so that Brian can plan for food. Call Brian at 417.880.2855 to volunteer.
