Round Spring Work Weekend hosted by Mike Simpson
Saturday & Sunday, August 15th & 16th
Join us on our third annual Round Spring Work Day. We’ll meet at the Ranger Station at Round Spring at 9am on the 15th. Our organizer will have already coordinated with the NPS Maintenance folks for tasks, locations and the tools needed to get the job done. After an honest days work, we retire to one of the group campsites (at no charge) for an evening under the stars. There is a shower house at the campground as well as laundry facilities if needed. That evening, we will join our organizer for a private tour of Round Spring Cave. On Sunday, we have typically made a leisurely float/trash pickup down to Round Spring. Mike Simpson is the point of contact, RSVP at 417.863.9848.

Member Meeting & First Aid Kit Workshop
Thursday, July 9th, 7pm
Member meeting at the Springfield Conservation Nature Center
First Aid Kit Workshop – Building from scratch or restocking
How many times have you dug into your first aid kit only to find that what you need was either gone or too old to be of any use? We’ve got you covered. OMP will be purchasing First Aid Kit supplies in bulk (Most supplies will be individually packaged in blister packs for single-dosage distribution) and selling them individually. You can restock your existing kit or build a completely new one. You will need to bring your own storage box, kit or bag. In order to know what to buy, we need to hear from you as to what supplies you regularly use (Ibuprofen, nasal spray, allergy meds, etc…). Email your specific needs to Ed McClung at eddyguy912@hotmail.com.
Refreshments: Comfort foods! Soda and Lemonade will be provided. Bring your own plates and cups.
